Sheep In Sheeps Clothing
Garth Turner, everybody's favorite big-mouth MP who was kicked out of the Conservative Party, is finally coming out of the closet (h/t). I guess Garth was getting lonely sitting in Parliament all by himself, so he's going to sit with the Liberals.
Shockingly, Mr. Turner will not be resigning his seat and run in a byelection as a Liberal. I say shockingly because Mr. Turner wrote on his blog on February 9, 2006:
Hilariously, it was Garth Turner's outspoken criticism of David Emerson's floor-crossing which got him kicked out of the Conservative Party in the first place. Of couse, Garth could have come out this morning and announced that he was going to run in the next election as a Liberal and remain an Independent until that time, but his political masters obviously have a plan for him.
While the lack of any meaningful principles with this man is astounding, hearing him try to come up with a reason why his previous statements don't apply to himself should prove to be quite amusing. I suppose he could claim he's not crossing the floor, just slowly making his way around it.

I am a democrat who believes everyone in the House of Commons, including the cabinet members who make up the government, should be elected. They should sit in Parliament as they were elected. If they decide to change parties, they should go and get re-elected.
