Garth Turners Press Conference
Garth Turner is on television, holding a press conference. He bashes party politics, and declares that even though he only has one vote, he's going to make it count. "I'm not going away", he says.
He's griping on and on about "party politics". As a new Independent MP, he sounds pretty good - like he might be the new voice of hell-bent Libertarians (like me). I also must give him credit also for not bashing the Conservative party on his way out.
I am also surprised (and a little disappointed) that he didn't jump-ship to the Green Party. He's the kind of candidate that the Green Party could use, and they should look for more candidates like him.
