Madison, WI (AHN) - Doctors in Madison are testing an experimental vaccine that makes the immune system attack nicotine in much the same way it would fight a life-threatening germ. The new way to help smokers' quit by a shot that "immunizing" them against the nicotine rush that aggravates their addiction.

It's not the cure for cancer, but it would sure make a hell of a dent. Imagine future generations not having to ever worry about being addicted to nicotine. Not to mention the fact that imunizations for other addictions are sure to follow.

The side show here, would be the fight thats bound to ensue between "The Pharma-Cartel" and "Big Tobacco". Better yet, maybe this is just the beginning. Maybe The Pharma-Cartel will also vaccinate America's "addiction to oil", and the next big fight will be between The Pharma-Cartel and Big Oil.

Addictions make me think of how the government is addicted to the taxes they collect from Tobacco. Would the government cut taxes on tobacco companies to keep them alive? If they let Big Tobacco die, who will they fill the void?
