It isn't Hizbollah destroying bridges in southern Lebanon so that people can't flee, and then slaughtering entire families: it's Israel. I suppose you don't care that while Israel "pounds the rotten bastards into the ground", a few hundred Untermentschen, Canadians among them, are blasted or incinerated in the process. And here you sit in the safety of Canada, calling for still more blood. Charming.

To Tadhg... I do care that civilians are killed. It's brutal, but it's a reality of war. I also care that Hizbollah will use civilians as human shields. I also know that Hizbollah and Hamas have targeted civilians countless times, with rocket attacks and suicide bombers.

If the people of Lebanon are not going to pressure Hizbollah to stop attacking Israel, then Israel must. Unfortunately, that is bound to negatively affect the civilian population os Lebanon. You also seem disinterested in the fact that if Hamas and Hizbollah just returned the soldiers that they (started this mess with) abducted without provocation, this mess could come to a quick end. You pointed out on your own blog that this new wave of death began "In response to the capture of one of its [Israel] soldiers".

Israel was working to create a Palestinian state, inside it's own borders. They's been more concessional that any country has been since the French in WW2 (cheap shot, I know). Although Israel might be pounding Gaza and Lebanon - while the terror groups that started the fight, put up minimal defences - but they were not the agressor, they're simply winning the war started by Hizbollah and Hamas.

Hey I wouldn't take it too personally natedawg, especially from a guy who plays the harp and wears a skirt.

They both forget that Israel is a nation of 6 million, surrounded by a sea of 100 million enemies who've continuously been at war with them. It takes hard decisions and bold measures to survive those odds.
 

Hezbollah and other like-minded groups always target civilians; and as I referred to on Rocketman's blog, they regularly launch rockets from residential areas; so that when Israel bombs the source of the rockets, the rest of the world wonders why Israel is destroying residential neighborhoods. So in the end both are killing civilians, but Israel is not celebrating in the streets when they do so.
