Laughable
Joe Volpe has decided to repay all donations his campaign has taken from minors.
Volpe is get squirmy.
Hahaha, keeping with the spirit of the Act. A clever "bait and switch" manuever. He baits, with "returning donations", and switches with making it an issue about minors. Nobody cares how old the people who donated to his campaign are. People care that he is coluding with Canadas largest pharmaceutical company.
The "spirit" of the Act, is not to prevent minors from contributing to campaigns. Thats why it's not in there. The "spirit" of the Act, is to keep corporate interests from "buying a candidate". That "spirit" was deliberately circumvented in this case, probably with Volpe's involvement.
The kids' contribution was about 25% of what was contributed by Apotex Inc. exec's. This is a pathetic attempt to distract the public from the real problem, a massive pharmaceutical company attempting to buy the government. Adam, as predicted, rants about the "Pharma-cartel". He makes some interesting points.

He said all the donations were legal, but he decided to return donations that were not in keeping with the spirit of the Canada Elections Act.
