Wild and Whacky Wednesday

Sheila Copps writes a pretty self-contradictory piece in The Sun Media today. My favorite part about the article, is how suddenly the Senate in Canada has become relevant.... only when theres a non-Liberal party governing. In fact, I'm starting to think that Senators only sit when Liberals aren't governing. I swear to God, Allah, Buddah, and all other gods, that I have not heard the Senate mentioned in Canadian government (in any more relevant a sence than the Governor General) in my entire life. It's hilariously ridiculous.

The savage killing of eight Banditos in southern Ontario comes as no surprise to readers of The Black Rod (awesome blogger in Winnipeg, the jerk disabled comments though - booo). He predicted a nationwide biker-gang war a couple months ago when the Banditos showed up in Winnipeg. He's pretty on-the-fucking-ball for a blogger (low-life scum).

This idea of an Urban Reserve in Winnipeg has been gaining traction for some time in these here parts (guess WHO the its 'reserved' for?). I think its the most reprehensible idea that humanity has ever constructed. Indian Reserves are not very dissimilar to concentration camps run by Nazi Germany. Except our government treats the Natives better (slightly). They are miniature government controlled welfare states, and the entire structure of the system is (was) designed to keep its inhabitants from evolving as a society. I have no doubt that the system was created with the best of intentions. But it's brutal. They die, and die and die and die. And now the government thinks its a good idea to bring The Reserve to the urban landscape. BRILLIANT! Why fix the problem, when you can change the problem? Easy short-term fix.

It's easy to blame the 'problem' on the people who live there (who happen to all be native), but I think its as simple as system of government they live under. It's a lot different than what we work under, and its not proving to be too great the folks living on Reserves. It's time to rethinkg the situation.

I'm already four bowls and beers deep. Time to smoke a come-downer and have a nap. I hope y'all have a plesant day. On that note, I leave you with a link to a new movie that looks pretty hilarious... Thank You For Smoking.
Comments:
Thank You For Smoking is alright. I'm a tough critic in terms of comedy, but I'd say it's a Downloader. Believe it or not, I bought the book two years ago on a whim, and I should say I've bought fewer books on a whim since.
