Sometimes you read things that are just too funny. Paul McCartney has got to be as confused as fuck. As I'm sure most people have heard, he and his wife are in Canada to protest the brutally savage beating of a few seal pups. What Sir Paul didn't realize, that while it's legal to beat the shit outta the critters, you sure as shit can't pet them.

Canada's Marine Mammal Regulations state: "No person shall disturb a marine mammal except when fishing for marine mammals under the authority of these regulations."

So the poor bastard comes to Canada to save the seals. His wife pets one, the critter takes a swipe at her, and the next thing he knows he's got cops asking questions. The only thing that could make this story better, would be if Mrs. Sir Paul had reflexively knocked the shit out of the seal right after. Oh, sweet irony.
