No Liberal Media?

For those of you who claim that the Canadian media doesn't have a liberal (small L) bias, I give you this vile load of crap from the Toronto Star. My original rant on it is here.

Normally I will read anything, and I try to be as open-minded as I can be. The Toronto Star is the only rag that I refuse to read. I got suckered into reading it from a fellow Toronto Star hater. I am almost unable to digest the fact that it was published. The fact that that piece was written by their Media Critic, is even more revolting!

The worst part is that the writer can't even make any legitimate complaints about Harper. Complaining about how he dresses, and making false analogies to George Bush, is hardly substansive criticism.

Further Liberal media bias is pointed out by this post at Chris' blog. Winnipegers just aren't as racisst as the CBC thinks we should be. A very strange position to take, to say the least.

The Strategic Council gives us some insight into what Canadians really think about our troops being in Afghanistan. It's actually a really interesting poll!
Comments:
Although I'm an avid reader of possibly the most liberal Canadian weekly newspaper, Toronto's NOW Magazine, even this seems over the top.
However, that is not to say that I'm fond of Harper's trip to Afghanistan. Phrases like "we don't cut and run" work well with a well-oiled propaganda machine. But in Canada, where our TVs are frozen for half the year, that rhetoric doesn't get very far.
And why the opposition to voting on our mission in Afghanistan? Nobody's backing out of the commitments we've made, but this isn't exactly a short-term project.
Let's support our soldiers; let's not leave their fate in the hands of a minority-elected leader.
