The Death of a Salesman

Man, Fridays are great. That is one thing I'll miss about being a nine-to-fiver, is the glorious glorious weekends.... and the anticipation that goes with them.

We had a big-fun meeting today at work about upcoming "operational difficulties" arising primarily from mine and my manager's sudden departures from the company. It was quite amusing; first of all, because we were even invited to the meeting - and secondly because it was just the same ol' pep-talk we've been getting for the last nine months, almost to the letter.

We did have Chinese for lunch though, which makes it all worth it...

There was some good news this week. During an early morning raid, forces managed to rescue two Canadians who were being held hostage in Iraq. I feel the need to stress that this is GOOD news. Because in about 1 week, you'll probably think it was the worst thing imaginable.

The reason why you'll think it was horrible news, was because JTF2 forces were involved in the rescue operation. I'm guessing that the media will make an issue out of it, because there were Canadian Forces in Iraq. And what they'll conveniently forget in the process that Canadian lives were saved by *gasp*, Canadian soldiers. I will personaly vomit on anybody who suggests that Canadian troops shouldn't have been involved.
