I've got to say, I respect Paul for resigning as leader of the party right off the hop. He did bow out gracefully. Good on him.

Not so good for the Conservatives. The Liberals will be limp for a while without Paul Martin as leader for the time being.

All in all an interesting night. The government should be pretty fucking boring for the next while.

I hope that the opposition parties at least let the Conservatives pass their tax cuts. I think that they've earned at least that through this minority.

One thing I did realize however, is that Global is totally right wing. It was hilarious. The one guy "accidentally" let slip the phrase "conservative majority"... when he had about 30 seconds previously said he could not predict if it were a minority or a majority.

There was another blog that was posting results before is legally allowed. I think it's wrong to do so in this case. This blog had previously broken a press blackout on an inquiry that really was of public intrest. In this case however, this law is in place to prevent the influence of votes across the country. In this case, I think the guy was being a dick-wad.
