Legitimate Shot at a Conservative Majority?
In the polls released today, it would seem that the Conservatives have the support of 39% of the country, with 12 days to go until election-day.
The number 39% is a very interesting number in this situation, with 12 days of campaigning remaining. In the 1993 general election, the Liberal party had 40% support, 9 days before the election. The interesting thing to note, is that the Liberals went on to win a MAJORITY government that year.
The important inference to be made here, is that support for the PC party at the time plumetted just days before the election, as I think will happen with the Liberal party this time around.
